Global Crisis

This year global crisis destroy most of countries in this world, the world get more hot and chaos. This month we get the impact  of this crisis, Or sale in electronic design is going down, that why this month I not yet post to thinking simple. I must secure our business in electronic design and manufacture. Not only secure my business we also must secure our family financial.

This is the complex  problem to secure our financial but I must keep it simple. How to make this complex problem with thinking in simply way. We must separate the problem to some categories, and if each categories still have complex problem, we should divide to sub categories. If we already have categories and sub categories for each problem now this time to focus to each category (make a plan for one category) and if we find the solution we must run to the other category.  This is like eat a big pizza, we must divide the pizza in to 8 - 16 pieces then we eat one by one.

Because I have two categories, business and family financial, and these problems can divide to sub categories, so I must make a plan for both of these problems.  And the last is hope for the strength from God be with us and His guidance to walk with, so we can win in this global crisis, and we can smile for the victory.

Auto Parts Blog

Today I visit on one of auto parts blog to find some information about  how to flushing a power steering system. From that articles I found the step by step guide to flushing power steering. But it's not easy to me, if I flushing power steering my self, because I didn't have automotive background.

Searching good information on internet at this time is difficult, some times we just find the crap information (It's sound like Thinking Simple, He2x). So when I found this article, I read more articles on that blog and found more useful articles related with automotive. They sometimes post about how to repair and review some automotive related products, or just take a pooling about some products.

Blog auto parts has good tech tips and information on auto parts and the other car related issues. That blog is 3 months old but have  good content about automotive. The author had an experience in automotive field. If you have some problem with your car or your automotive vehicle or just find some reference about auto parts you may try to search on www.blogautoparts.com or if you didn't find your searching categories you can leave some comment on their blog, and may by you got the answer.

Natural Composting

I fond good article about Different Types of Composting, this article about natural composting. Pascale describe the different types of composting with clear writing and easy to understand. There are 3 kind of composters, Aerobic microbes which need oxygen to thrive and live, Anaerobic microbes which do not need oxygen to survive, and the last is Red Worms to help decompose the organic waste.

To use Aerobic microbes as composter we must make sure they have enough air by aerating the compost heap. If we use Anaerobic microbes as composter we don't having to worry if enough air is available, but the smell is unpleasant.  So I think use Red Worms is the best way to decompose the organic waste.

After a week I try to play Google Map, today I try to retrieve latitude and longitude value from Google Map. If you have time, why do you not try to find your home coordinate or your girl/boy friend home coordinate? Or update you POI database for your GPS.

Update: To see Latitude and Longitude just drag and drop the marker. It's will show the marker coordinate.

Build Family Tree

Today, I start to build my family tree. Start with me, my wife and our son. I want to trace my family tree and my wife, cause we have big family member. If we doesn't start to build this tree, I worry we can't tell a story to our child about our other family or relative.

To build my family tree I use free service from ancestry.com. Now my family tree still incomplete, but if you want to see my family tree here is the Salamoen Family Tree.

With this service I hope, we can find other family related our generation network.

Shrimp and Andouille Cassoulet Recipe

When I visited Great American Seafood Cook Off official web site, I voted for "Shrimp and Andouille Cassoulet", a recipe created by Chef Brian Landry from Louisiana, in their cook off. Imagine Louisiana Shrimp and Andouille sausage smothered in a white bean casserole in front of your table, I think you will choose this recipe too ( if you are a Shrimp lover ). That's why I downloaded the recipe for my wife because I quite love a seafood especially a shrimp. Hope someday it will be a next recipe to cook as several list of recipe she already has.

I like shrimp because of it's delicious beside absolutely it's good for our health. It is better for me to use some domestic seafood, include a shrimp because some reason such as it is fresh and sustainable as no need longer time and transportation to get it. And also because it's local great taste which is suitable with my taste. But a limitation knowledge of cooking shrimp be able to limit it's splendid too.

For many times before, I knew cooking shrimp with frying and burning way, but now, it's really nice to know the other way to cook shrimp. When my friend gone to Madame Tussauds Las Vegas Wax Museum which located in the midst of the excitement of the Las Vegas Strip at The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, He got some humorous vacation. First Time Used Windows Live Writer

This post used windows live writer, this the first time I use this tool to blogging. Before use windows live writer, I used Sribefire to blogging, sometimes there are problem when using custom  JavaScript or embedded multimedia tag on the post.

Wedding Crashers

A week ago I decide to re-design Thinking Simple themes. Now Thinking Simple use Simple Two Columns Blogger Template. I don't know the performance of this template. I want to re-location the widget, some widget make the loading slower.

My Victory Hair

This story happen when me and my girlfriend (now she is the mother of our son) was separated by distance, she lives in Bali and I lived in Malang. I have the straight hair style, and she is naturally curl. My Victory Hair was she decided to make her hair look straight. So she went to her hair salon to make over her hair, and she had new hair style. I don't know the reason why she decide to make over her hair? I do not know why she decides to do about her hair? It is for me or just to do something different. What ever the reason, I already win in "Ultimate Flirting Championship".

Today, I finished publish my second blogger template. I call this template Simple Two Columns. Two week ago until now I must finish my work schedule as an engineer at Rekavisitama , that's why you did not see my newer post. It's hard to write good English

For me, write good English is very hard. English is not my first language, so when I write this blog in English, oxford dictionary will be my best friend. But the grammar, I can't check with this dictionary. Sometimes I ask to my wife, and if there are sponsor post, wife will be my editor.

But this limitation never make me give up. I must practice and practice. So if there are some bad grammar or structure or some incorrect spelling, please give me some suggestion, or leave some comment, and I will try to post about your blog. And if I leave some comment at your blog, please forgive me for my bad grammar, spelling or vocabulary. Please smile if you found it, just thinking simple.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

First time, I thought Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) was a repetitive stress injury stemming from overuse of the hands, wrists and fingers. For example spending long hours at the computer keyboard or mouse. The day after our project to Install Digital Language Laboratory, our team gone to beach near hotel. We waited sunset. With my poket camera (Samsung Digimax A40) captured this moment.

What Would Be your Perfect Day?

I got Spark from Another Day Of Life, What would be your prefect day?, this make me think for a while, but I keep Thinking Simple. The birth of my second baby would be my perfect day. Now I am waiting my second baby, may be 3 next month.

When My first son, Theophilus, born. That's amazing to know how our baby born. When I saw this moment, when I hear our baby cry or the first time, when I saw his smile. That is the perfect day. And I will wait that moment again, for my second baby.

To prepare that perfect day, we are spend our time, and money to searching baby name, prepare the stuff, baby clothes, and anythings which should be prepare.

What would be your perfect day?

Today my wife join SocialSpark

If you remember my previous post, "The Strength of Social Network", about the power of SocialSpark as social network you will find the power of SocialSpark. The power are Spark, Monetize, Connections Spark Power will make you never blank in ideas, cause other blogger will supply your ideas. Sometimes as mommy, she fell boring because her activity are taking care our son (9th mouth), and the other mommy activity. I told to my wife "If you fell boring you could blogging to reduce it, or join with some community." Yea Now She is join SocialSpark, and I hope she find some friend to share each other about their activity.

Re-Prop for all my friends at SocialSpark

After SocialSpark reset all props on all bloggers profile and blogs, I need some hard work to re-prop again all my friends. My friends still 147 but it need hard work to me. Imagine "The Mom with brownies" which had 4869 friends, and in top props ranking, absolutely she felt hurt. Response to her voice, and I want to say this real world, and this reality, not virtual. And I agree with her voice It's hurt. But the disaster not only for bad people also for good people. It's not only for spammer also for ethical blogger. Keep your spirit, and we will support each other.

It's just like Google PR drop on most PPP blogger, and BenSpark create GoogleIsNotGod blog. I hope the Mother of SocialSpark doesn't create SocialSparkIsNotGod blog.

How important network security for your business?

As an asp.net programmer, and an IT engineer at a Small Business, sometimes I must setting our network and make our network in office running well.

Yesterday, at my office, on administration computer suddenly restart, and on the screen notify there are spyware on that computer.According to
my experience, sometimes the virus it's self that told for virus notification, except the anti-virus.

When I check the application at event viewer in past day, I found some error message when computer running an application. So i suggest that file cause the problem. Then I goto registry file with regedit command, and move to HKCU-Software-Microsoft-Windows-CurrentVersion-Run,
and found a file that suspicious. After update Anti-virus and scan yea there is a backdoor file on this computer. Then suddenly our anti-virus send notification that our suspicious file that we found in registry file need Internet access. So I suggest that file is the virus. Then I go to location of that file (Windows/System32/lphdcn8nj0e561.exe) and try to delete, but I can't delete that file. I though "It's must in save mode". So I delete that file on save mode.

But the problem still happen I must correction some registry which changed by virus. I repair registry to process display property because desktop and screen server tabs gone. After fixed the registry and I found that file run a file called "bluescreen" screen server. Blue screen server act as restart a computer, but this just screen server. The real virus is a backdoor.

That step-step to find virus and how to cure the computer sound complex. We should protect our computer before our computer attacked by some virus or intruder. For protect our computer we need learn about computer security system. We can read some books, participate on learning center or take a certification program.

To enhance and advance your IT career you can take some Cisco certification program. There are many choice at Cisco certification program. IP Networking (CCENT),Routing and Switching (CCNA),Security, Voice (CCNA Voice),Wireless (CCNA Wireless),Service Provider (CCIP),Design (CCDA).

Sometimes skill and knowledge must proved by certifications. Some one with certification more credible than other without certification. Today certification needed for IT consultant or IT Professional for their career.
And Cisco certification have good reputation they already gift . If you an IT manager which person do you choose some one with certification or without certification if they apply in your office? I will choose person that have Cisco certification. How about you?

As my experience above network security is important for business. Imagine if backdoor or attacker can access some secret file and credential file on or office, how much cost will spend?

Today, I visit my Entrecard dashboard and I fond there are many dropper in my entrecard dropper inbox. When I want to visit the dropper site, I see that's not effective to click on their card and went to profile, then visit their url. So I need more effective way to visit my entrecard dropper. So I use my entrecard rss dropper inbox ^{Pic 1} url and combine with blogger feed widget. You can see at the sidebar of this site for the result. Now it simple to visit my entrecard dropper.

Step-step to create Last 5 Entrecard Dropper :

1. First time You should right click your rss dropper icon and select copy url.
2. Create new element on your blogger template, and chose feed for widget. Type title for your feed and set max number of feed item.
3. Save your widget.
4. If you need modification of your new widget just drag and drop your widget and save.
   

But the problem is blogger feed widget just show last 5 entrecard dropper, and it's the maximum. Any one can show to me how to maximize the number. Or I should create my own script to this propose.

No I am using CustomRSS . Custom RSS is google gadget to display rss.
